Iran’s Nouri bids farewell to wrestling

TEHRAN – Iranian Greco-Roman wrestler Hossein Nouri announced his retirement from the sport on Friday.

Nouri won a gold medal in the 87kg weight category in the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta.

He also won three gold medals in the Asian Wrestling Championship in 2017 (New Delhi), 2018 (Bishkek) and 2019 (Xi'an).

The 32-year-old wrestler also won a bronze medal in the 2017 World Wrestling Championships in Paris.
